HY catalyst retains the characteristic three-dimensional supercage structure of Y-type zeolite, consisting of large cavities interconnected through twelve-membered oxygen rings. This unique framework provides excellent accessibility for reactant molecules and facilitates the diffusion of relatively large hydrocarbons.
The balanced distribution of its acid centers enables HY zeolite to catalyze a wide range of reactions, including cracking, isomerization, alkylation, dealkylation, cyclization, and hydrocarbon rearrangement. In addition, controlled dealumination improves hydrothermal stability, increases the silica-to-alumina ratio, and enhances resistance to catalyst deactivation under severe operating conditions.
HY zeolite catalyst is one of the most important acidic components in petroleum refining, serves as the primary active ingredient in FCC catalysts. Beyond petroleum refining, HY molecular sieve is widely employed as a catalyst, catalyst support, and adsorbent in petrochemical manufacturing, environmental protection, and adsorption-separation technologies.
