Activated zeolite powder or molecular sieve activated powder, is made from synthetic zeolite powder as the raw material. Zeolite raw powder undergoes high-temperature calcination at 350℃~500℃ to remove the crystalline water in the pores, then grinding and sieving, and finally obtains the white ultrafine inorganic aluminosilicate powder.
The zeolite raw powder loses most of the crystalline water during the calcination process, so the activated zeolite powder has strong activity and easy dispersibility. This makes it crucial for activated zeolite powder, to be directly incorporated into materials as a solid selective desiccant. In addition to its rapid water absorption, selective physical adsorption, and excellent dispersibility, the activated zeolite powder also possesses strong chemical stability and solid-state environmental friendliness.
The largest application of activated zeolite powder is in the polyurethane industry, where it serves as a moisture scavenger. Activated zeolite powder act as essential chemical additives in polyurethane systems, it often appears in the formulations of PU coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers. Additionally, activated zeolite powder also applies to the cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and other chemical processing industries.
