DAY-60 zeolite catalyst features lower aluminum content and a more robust, stable framework than DAY-30, delivering a superior balance between acidic properties and hydrothermal stability. It possesses a relatively high silica-to-alumina ratio, which endows DAY-60 with fewer acidic sites and moderate acid strength. Its deeply dealuminated framework enhances structural stability, granting DAY-60 zeolite excellent hydrothermal resistance and strong tolerance to FCC regeneration conditions at temperatures above 700℃.
In addition, the DAY-60 zeolite catalyst owns a macroporous structure that adapts well to large molecule reactions in heavy oil cracking. Its optimized pore system partially generates secondary mesopores, effectively boosting molecular diffusion efficiency. Essentially, DAY-60 is a high silica USY zeolite catalyst modified via dealumination and stabilization treatments.
As a mainstream FCC catalyst, DAY-60 zeolite primarily functions in fluid catalytic cracking processes to raise the yield of gasoline and light olefins and strengthen metal contamination resistance. It also acts as an acidic support to provide cracking performance in hydrocracking reactions.
